My Bio
Ross Wilson is a Painter/Musician currently residing in La Center, WA. Mainly self-taught, Ross's preferred mediums are acrylic paint and pen and ink. Ross's artwork is rarely based directly on subjects from life, but rather are his best attempts to recreate scenes and ideas from his travels and places "he wishes existed."
His favorite artist is Vincent Van Gogh, but Ross is also interested in the styles of cubism, post-impressionism, and modern painting.

Hello and welcome to my DeviantArt page. My name is Ross, I recently moved out to Portland, OR after travelling for the better part of a year, I used to be based out in New York where I spent my time in school and playing in my old music. Anyway, made it out to Portland and sure enough it is a tough time to find work out here right now, so rather than waste my time trolling craigslist for jobs I joined an art studio out in Vancouver and have spent most of the summer working there, mainly with acrylics but really with whatever paints I can get my hands on. Hey Mario, finally made it over to your webgallery! Really like your work, fantastic technique and brushwork makes me want to try a few new things. Emotions of summer is a gorgeous piece, if I had any money I would totally order a print, but for now all I can give are my compliments - great job!
